Plot
Priya Malhotra (Kareena Kapoor) is an orphan who hopes to have a family of her own and keeps a diary outlining her dreams and the type of man she wants to meet – someone who does not drink, smoke or tell lies. She is skeptical when her friend Honey’s (Delnaaz Paul) aunt, a card reader, Sunita Rao (Kirron Kher), predicts that she will go to a foreign land and find the love of her life in seven days. She is pleasantly surprised when she is selected to go to a Youth Festival in Bangkok. That is where Amit (Immy) (Shahid Kapoor) is seen, a young drunkard, chain smoker and a foolproof liar, a guy Priya would not like. One night, when Priya is asleep, Immy is being chased and accidentally runs into Priya’s room, where he sees her and falls in love. He takes her diary, reads it, copies it, and then replaces it. He pretends to be the total guy Priya wants to be with, but when she finds out how Immy really is, they both break-up, and Priya leaves Bangkok to Delhi.
When she meets Immy again, he tells her that destiny wanted them together. Priya challenges him that if destiny did want them together, they would both find them again in future. In order to prove it, she asks Immy to write his name and phone number on a 50 Rupee note and uses the same note to buy a Numberology book where she writes her own name and phone number and further she sells it in market at second hand rate. If she receives the same note again and if Immy finds that book with her name and number on it, then it will prove that they love each other and its destiny that wants them together. Three years later, Priya finds the currency note and realizes that she is actually in love with Immy. She finds him and they get married.

Karthik Saminathan(Dhanush) lives along with his sister after their parents passed away. It is said that only their friends help them for their livelihood. Sundar, Shankar, Padmini and Vindhya were his friends. It is said that his nick name is genius as he used to do stupid things. Everyone used to stay in Sundar’s home. Sundar’s Father is said to be Role model for the father’s of young generation. Karthik’s aim is to become wildlife photographer and his inspiration in Madhesh Krishnasamy an expert in wildlife photography. When Karthik approaches Madhesh to accept him as his assistant, Madhesh sents him out by humiliating him. During a night Sundar introduces a girl yamini([Richa]) as the girl he loves to his gang of friends at a get together in beach. His friends scolds him for hiding his love to them. He asks Karthik to speak to him at least scold him in anger. Karthik scolds him with a bad word and that makes yamini tensed. She asks sundar to leave his friends. Karthik scolds yamini in return. When she complains to sundar about this he scold her again. Yamini slaps Kartihk but karthik humilates her again by not bothering about her. Everyone starts to giggle and she was convinced by padmini.
Karthik’s voice over says at the back that something is odd with her. Karthik is humiliated again by Madhesh in his office when he approaches him to enroll him as his assistant. Later Karthik, his gang of friends along with yamini meet at a restaurant where Karthik and yamini quarrel again. But it is indirectly shown that yamini has some love feelings for Karthik. Later yamini accepts to move out with sundar only if Karthik accompanies them. In one such occasion Karthik gets a chance from madhesh to get bird’s picture from forest. When Karthik is packing his things sundar asks him whether he can come with him along with yamini as he is waiting for a chance to go out with yamini. In the trip Karthik asks yamini about what’s going on between them. When yamini tells him that she is not in love with sundar but she is just dating him, Karthik gets a guilt conscious as he is cheating sundar. So he tells yamini that she is like his sister to him, yamini slaps him. They drink and fall asleep. In the forest Karthik shoot a bird with exact angle and light. Yamini looks into those snaps from Karthik’s camera. When Karthik gives his photos to madhesh, madhesh again humiliates him saying his photos were shit.
Karthik becomes frustrated and starts drinking. In the meantime sundar calls him and asks him to pick up yamini as her car got break down. When Karthik goes there yamini ask him about the photo’s. Karhtik explains what had happened over there. In order to console him she hugs him. But later the two becomes romantic and kisses each other. Suddenly sundar calls Karthik to en quire him whether he had picked up yamini. Being disappointed he meet madhesh to give the credit to him. But madhesh denies it. Karthik leaves there with tears. His friends started scolding him in his home for being vanished without saying anyone. Sundar tells him that he was waiting for him to give the ring to yamini. Yamini arrives there and asks him how are you? but Karthik without replying enters into his room for going to restroom. Yamini follows him to his room and tells him she missed him so much and she felt like dying in his absence. They both hug each other. Suddenly sundar enters the room and gets shocked by seeing them hugging.
He slaps Karthik and leaves the place. Later with the help of sundar’s father sundar forgive Karthik and the duo decides that none of them is going to love yamini. In the meanwhile Karthik sister calls sundar and expresses her love. As sundar receives the call in loud speaker mode Kartik too hears what she said. On seeing this sundar’s dad arranges marriage between Karthik and yamini, sundar and Karthik’s sister. After their honeymoon, Karthik faints and falls from the balcony on seeing that madhesh is being awarded as the best photographer of award for his bird’s picture. It is shown after few years, Karthik becomes mad and ferocious. He starts to drink a lot and beats up several people who asks him to take photograph. Yamini looks after him and the family and the problem created by him. She also sends his previous wildlife photographs to all the magazines and most of them got rejected. On a sudden night on seeing madhesh’s interview about Karthik’s bird’s photograph explaining as he took waiting in the forest, Karthik breaks the tv. Yamini comes in between to console him but he kicks her in the stomach that leads to abortion of their baby. Karthik being disappointed sleeps near the blood stains.
Yamini returns from the hospital and starts cleaning it. Though she was angry she didn’t express it towards him. Kartick realizes his mistake and apologizes to her. On the other hand Karthik’s photo is being selected by discovery channel from the magazine front page which was sent by yamini. Karthik tells her about his assignment from discovery channel. Yet she didnt talk to him. After few years Karthik becomes one of the leading wild life photographers. He has been nominated for the IPC award in photography. Along with him madhesh is nominated for the Karthik’s bird photo and finally it is announced that Karthik got that award. After receiving the award, Karthik speaks saying that his friends where responsible for his success and walks out. Again he comes back to the podium and tells that the award goes to his wife as she is the reason for this award and applauds for her. Here yamini being overwhelmed with Karthik, decides to talk to him. Karthik calls her and the movie ends when she says hello. In post credit it is shown that Karthik follows madhesh. Madhesh tries to escape from Karthick thinking he might humiliate him back. But karthik calls madhesh and tells him thank you!!

Plot
Reshma (Vidya Balan) runs away from her husband’s house. She tries to get role in a movie but she is insulted by the director for being unattractive and useless. She goes to a director and fills in for the female dancer where she wears revealing clothes and dances with whips. Her bold dancing brings a lot of male audience to the movie theatre. The director searches for Reshma and finally finds her and gives her the stage name “Silk.” She meets her idol actor Suryakant (Naseeruddin Shah). At first, he ignores her but she makes herself stand out by saying that she will sleep with him many times. She does a lot of movies where she wears sexy clothes, dances seductively and gets lots of male fans who go weak at the knees when they see her. Silk gets very angry when she notices that Suryakant ignores her in public places.
One night, Silk and Suryakant are being naughty in his bedroom when suddenly his wife knocks at the door. She hides in the closet and is heartbroken when she sees Suryakant doing sex with his wife [through the keyhole of the closet]. Another day, Suryakant insults her by saying that Silk is the dirty secret that no one wants to talk about in broad daylight. Suryakant’s younger brother writer Ramukant (Tushar Kapoor) falls in love with Silk. Silk is finally happy that someone loves her heart and not her body. At a party, she meets Shakeela. Silk feels threatened that Shakeela will replace her in the movie industry. They have a dance off. At the end, Silk makes Shakeela trip intentionally showing her that she is the top actress. Ramu brought his parents to introduce Silk to them. He is embarrassed because Silk was wearing a revealing dress, she was drunk and was not acting in a respectable manner. Their relationship is over. Silk’s life starts falling apart. She is an alcoholic and a chain smoker. Feminists and critics degrade her.
Silk’s enemy Abraham (Emraan Hashmi), a film director hates her but suddenly starts falling in love with her. Silk does not get movie roles anymore. She has to pay debt. She is bound to call a director who gave her his business card before. She goes there and is shocked to find out that the director wants her to do a porn movie. She is drunk. The police raid the house. She ends up coming in front of her old house where her mom lives. Silk is so embarrassed about herself that she flees. Abraham brings Silk’s mom to his house. His plan is to surprise Silk by making her meet her mom. When he calls her, Silk says that she is going to sleep and so that Abraham tells others that Silk says goodbye to them. Abraham goes to a movie event which is attended by Suryakant and Ramukant as well. Suddenly Abraham realizes what Silk is going to do. He rushes to her apartment but it is too late. She is wearing Saree and lying on the bed. She killed herself by drinking poison. At the end, Abraham and Silk’s mom burn Silk’s dead body. Abraham was the only one who understood Silk’s pain. Silk killed herself from a lot of depression.

Synopsis:
In a small Indian village Mandwa, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan (Hrithik Roshan) is taught about the path of fire (Agneepath) by his principled father. His life is shattered completeley when the evil drug lord Kancha Cheena (Sanjay Dutt) hangs his father to death. Vijay leaves for Mumbai with his pregnant mother, and takes an oath that he will return back to Mandwa and bring back the glory of his fathers name and take revenge against Kancha Cheena.
In Mumbai, Vijay is taken under the wings of the cities drug lord Rauf Lala (Rishi Kapoor). From here on it is a journey of revenge where he makes and breaks many relationships only to get closer to his aim. Vijay finds support in his only friend Kaali (Priyanka Chopra), who stands by him at every moment of his life. Fifteen years later, his hatred for Kancha takes him back to Mandwa where life comes full circle.

Sathyanathan (Nedumudi Venu) is a typical middle class man who has just retired. He wants to buy a plot of land in the city and move in with his wife and children – Uppilinathan(Karthik Kumar), Vishwanathan and Sindhu. But his son Uppilinathan – who is a software engineer – has no interest in the house and is keen to leave India for New York, where he has obtained a job. Sathyanathan buys the plot from “World Famous Properties” which is managed by Vijayakumar(Cochin Hanifa). When he goes to break stone to build his house, he finds a compound wall erected over his plot with the nameplate saying “Baby Properties”. After numerous attempts to meet him, Sathyanathan finally meets Baby who wants him to pay half the amount paid for the plot to be paid to Baby in order to vacate the plot. The Sathyanathans try to think of solutions and finally resort to hiring thugs to break the compound at night. Sathyanathan is arrested the next morning. Through all this, Uppilinathan’s attitude towards his father’s problem changes when he sees how attached he is to the property. Uppili meets a travel agent Asifbhai (bosskey) who was baby’s assistant and cheated by him . uppili with help of his girlfriend , they convinced Daddy (mouli)who is a stage actor and got 136 awards and to be act as varma , an NRI businessman from dubai came to india to sell a land which belongs to fisheries board of govt.atlast the fishery land is given to baby and the family get their land. in the end, baby’s assistant johnny tells that there is no man in the name of varma and baby answers that he has been cheated and not to tell this to everyone as people may lose fear on him. The film ends with family of sathyanathan living happily ever after.

The story of two brothers, Thiru Murthy (Madhavan) and Guru Murthy (Aarya) who are poles apart in character. Their father was a constable but after his demise, Thiru takes on the same duty. Due to his lack of bravery, Thiru find it difficult to fight crime in his town. It is in these times that Guru who is not a cop steps up and assists his elder brother. As Guru wins many of his brother’s battles with crime, the accolades are showered though on Thiru to an extent that he is promoted as the Superintendent of Police. The turning point in the story arises when Thiru is caught off guard and brutally thrashed. It now becomes imperative for Guru to build his brothers courage to face his fears and overcome them. This point onwards we see Thiru stand tall and brave and how he along with Guru tackle the villains who are out to hunt them down.

Plot
College goer Karunakaran (Arulnithi) always finds it difficult to adjust with the society that he lives. As a result he is unable to control his anger and often ends up with some trouble. His unpredictable behaviour become a constant worry for his mother and brother. A series of incidents forces him to leave his home town Madurai and as usual ends up in Chennai. Despite scoring high marks in school, he joins a local arts college in the city and stays in hostel from where the trouble begins. Now there is another story which goes parallel. While traveling from Bangalore to Chennai Assistant Commissioner Marimuthu (John Vijay), Inspector Rajendran (Madhu), Sub-Inspector Selvam (Balakrishnan) and cop Perumalsamy (Krishnamurthy) witnesses a car accident. When they are about to take the victim (son of Bangalore based business tycoon) to a nearby hospital, they comes across a huge stash of cash. The policemen kills the (half dead) victim and flees to Chennai with the money. Then the sincere police officer Palaniammal (Uma Riyaz Khan) takes up this case. A cluster of lies, ego clash at the hostel and family’s ignorance brings innocent Karunakaran into this crime plot. The rest is a racy roller-coaster ride that forms the climax.

The story of two brothers, Thiru Murthy (Madhavan) and Guru Murthy (Aarya) who are poles apart in character. Their father was a constable but after his demise, Thiru takes on the same duty. Due to his lack of bravery, Thiru find it difficult to fight crime in his town. It is in these times that Guru who is not a cop steps up and assists his elder brother. As Guru wins many of his brother’s battles with crime, the accolades are showered though on Thiru to an extent that he is promoted as the Superintendent of Police. The turning point in the story arises when Thiru is caught off guard and brutally thrashed. It now becomes imperative for Guru to build his brothers courage to face his fears and overcome them. This point onwards we see Thiru stand tall and brave and how he along with Guru tackle the villains who are out to hunt them down.

Review
Mynaa gave a big break for Vidharth, who was till then doing supporting roles in films. After Mynaa his next film ‘Mudhal Idham’ was released. Though the film had all the entertaining elements it could not do the ‘Mynaa’ magic for Vidharth.
With high hopes this wonderfully talented actor has come out with this filmKollaikaran! And, Vidharth has used his potential to his best to keep the actor get going as hero!
The film tells a story how one must correct their mistakes they commit in life otherwise the same mistakes if done repeatedly would spoil their entire life!
Kollaikkaaran Movie_Review
Vidharth as a petty thief escapes from police without getting nabbed. As he manages to escape everytime he starts doing atrocious acts. How these blunders affect his life is shown with a gripping script.
Thillalangadi fame Sanchita Shetty, who played Tamannaah’s sister in the movie, play the love interest of Vidharth. She has done justice to her character by doing what the director has instructed. Ravishankar is another actor who has done a good job understanding his character.
Kollaikaran is directed by Tamizhselvan, former assistant of Seenu Ramasamy. The director has given the right mix of romance and comedy in a village setting. He has also tried to bring out the real life of the rural milieu and a message. The script could have been given some more work to maintain the steady pace.
New face Johan has scored the music. Songs are okay. Lyricist Vairamuthu’s lines touch your heart. Background score at some places gives some solace.

Storyline:
Having conquered the Asian underworld, Don (Shah Rukh Khan) now has his sights set on European domination. In his way are the bosses of the existing European underworld and all law enforcement agencies. The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, in order for his plan to succeed.
Plot:
The bosses of the European drug cartel meet in the French Riviera to discuss a new threat emerging from Asia. Don (Shahrukh Khan) is jeopardizing their business because he is able to sell drugs at a much lower price to their customers. The bosses send word out that Don must die. Don has been living in Thailand for the past five years and goes to a remote settlement to pick up a shipment of cocaine. Instead of a normal transaction, Don has to fight his way out because the more powerful European dealers want him dead. He then inexplicable goes back to Malaysia where he surrenders to Roma (Priyanka Chopra) and Inspector Malik (Om Puri). Don is sentenced to death and sent to a Malaysian prison where he meets his old rival Vardhaan (Boman Irani). Don and Vardhaan escape the prison by poisoning all the inmates and go to Zurich, Switzerland where they retrieve the contents of a locker only Vardhaan could access. The locker holds a tape that shows Diwan (Aly Khan), the vice president of a Euro printing bank, bribing someone to kill a competitor. Don blackmails Diwan into giving him the blueprints to the bank so that he can steal the printing plates. Diwan gives him fake information and hires assassins instead. Don manages to escape and forces the assassins to work for him. Diwan, left with no choice, hands over the real information.
Don and his new team plan a bank robbery and carry out their plan by taking hostages. After stealing the printing plates, Don is betrayed by Vardhaan and his team but manages to escape. However, one of the members, Sameer (Kunal Kapoor), calls the police and Don is captured. Unable to enter the bank and free the hostages, the police are forced to work with Don to get back into the bank in exchange for immunity. Don and Roma manage to reach Vardhaan but Roma is shot because she refuses to kill Don when told to do so. Don, Vardhaan and his thugs fight and Don manages to defeat them. He then get his immunity papers and takes Roma to an ambulance. Don and Roma exchange one glance at each other before the ambulance doors close. He then detonates a bomb he planted earlier in Diwan’s car. It is revealed that Don actually still has the original money plates and gave fake ones to the police. The fake plates are destroyed in the explosion that kills Diwan. The police cannot do anything as Don has immunity and do not know that Don has the real plates. Don also gives the police a disc of all his associates but it is really a disc with the names of the European drug cartel. All the members of the cartel are arrested and Don becomes the king of the European underworld. He is last seen riding a bike on a motorway somewhere in South America, with the license plate number: Don 3.

Plot:
The film depicts the fictional life[4] of Bodhidharma (Suriya), a master of martial arts and medical remedies, who is depicted in the film as the son of a great Tamil king of the Pallava Dynasty. He is sent to China by his guru, who requests him to stop the spread of a pandemic disease existing there from spreading to India. Initially the people in China treated him as an inferior but later when he cures a little girl from the deadly disease and fights against some people who ill treated villagers there, the people of China began to respect and worship him. He begins to teach them how to cure many diseases, the skills of hypnotism and the physical training of the Shaolin monks that led to the creation of Shaolinquan. However after few years, when he expresses his desire to return to India, the villagers plot to poison him and bury him near the temple, believing that their place would be disease free if he’s buried there. Bodhidharma agrees to die and subsequently becomes a fundamental figure in Chinese history, affectionately being dubbed as Damo.
The film switches to modern day China, where Dong Lee (Johnny Tri Nguyen) is given the task of starting a government planned biological war against India, known as Operation Red. Dong Lee starts this operation by injecting a virus into a street dog. This disease was the one which occurred during the time of Bodhidharma in China. Meanwhile Subha Srinivasan (Shruti Haasan) researched that Bodhidharma can be brought back to life if his sample of DNA is matched with another sample of DNA which she finds in Aravind (Suriya) a descendant of Bodhidharma who is working as Circus artist in Chennai. Shuba tries to give life to Bodhidharma to end the menace of Dong Lee. But Dong Lee, who is capable of doing anything, does all impossibly bad things, mastered in ‘Nokku Varmam’ (Hypnotism), a martial art which was actually taught to the Chinese by Bodhidharma. Shuba with the help of her friends from her genetic department tries to activate the Bodhidharma DNA in Aravind in a research centre. But Dong Lee with the help of Shuba’s professor who had received a huge sum of money from the China government helps him to trace the location of Shuba and her friends. But after Dong Lee traces them he then kills the professor. Dong Lee then locates the place of the research centre. Shuba and her friends in the research centre try to escape in a van but Dong Lee chases them and the van collapses. Aravind was beaten badily by Dong Lee at first then Arvind manages to regain Bodhidharma skills somehow in spite of the sunrays hitting him on his face which was not supposed to happen and a day before he was estimated to regain his skills. Then Aravind gets Bodhidharma’s talent and defeats Dong Lee. Later Aravind eradicates the virus spreading and then he gives a lecture about the need for us to remember our history and to teach all our practices in the name of science and not god.
